The ingredients needed to make Orange Bread:
  1. Prepare 2 eggs
  2. Make ready 150 g white sugar
  3. Make ready 550 g oranges (approx 2 large oranges) + juice from 1/2 an orange
  4. Take 115 g softened butter
  5. Get 300 g plain flour
  6. Get 3 tbsp baking powder
Steps to make Orange Bread:
  1. Preheat oven to 190c.
  2. Mix the egg and sugar together until its creamy and almost frothy.
  3. Juice 2 large oranges which should give you about 120ml though I just poured it into the mixture without measuring it). Add the orange juice and butter then using an electric mixer mix it together.
  4. Add the baking powder and flour to the butter mixture and using the electric blender again mix it all together until its combined well.
  5. Pour the batter into a loaf tin lined with greaseproof.
  6. Transfer to the oven and bake for approximately 60 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  7. When it's ready pour the juice of about 1/2 a large orange on top of the bread. Let it sit in the loaf tin for 30 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack or plate.
