Any Indian beans curry and rice is one of my favorite things to eat. I am saying this shahi because it is a little bit spicy as compared to traditional beans recipe. Fresh cream, garam masala, kasauri methi and melted butter are added here to bring mouth-watering taste. Kabooli channa ( ಕಡಲೆ ಕಾಳು), Moth beans(ಮಟಕಿ ಕಾಳು), Black eyed beans (ಅವಡೆ ಕಾಳು), Whole moong (ಹೆಸರು ಕಾಳು), Cow peas (ಅಲಸಂದೆ ಕಾಳು ), these are the five legumes (whole seeds) used and prepared Mixed dry beans Curry.

Instructions to make Mixed beans curry:
  1. Heat oil in a saucepan, add onion cook until soft and slightly golden.
  2. Add ginger, garlic, curry leaves followed by curry powder and turmeric powder. Cook for a few seconds.
  3. Add rest of the spices. Open the can of beans. Drain a little of the water leaving the thick sauce in the can. Leave aside.
  4. Add the cut vegetables to the cooking spices. Season with salt as per taste. Cover and leave to cook for st least 5 -10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Half way through, add the beans to the pan. Stir gently and, cover and leave to simmer for another 5 minutes until all start to come together.
  6. Taste for seasoning and adjust accordingly.
  7. Turn the heat off and scatter freshly chopped coriander. Sprinkle over the garam masala.
  8. Serve warm with either boiled rice or flat bread.
