  1. Pressure-cook the dal and cabbage with enough water to cover along with chopped tomatoes 🍅,green chilli 🌶,onion,salt and turmeric. Allow the lentils to cook for three whistles.
  2. Heat 1/2 tsp of the oil and add jeera,hing,dry chilli 🌶,curry Leaves and other masala ingredients. Add the dal and masala and mix. Add water if too thick.
  3. Bring the dal to a boil, lower the heat to a simmer, and cook for another five minutes
  4. Serve hot with rice /chapati.
