Get 400 g ground pork and ground beef
Make ready 2 tablspn tomato ketchup
Make ready 1/4 breadcrumbs

Get 1/3 cup red wine(optional)

Steps to make Meatballs in tomato and red wine sauce:
In a medium sized bowl, mix together ground meat, egg,breadcrumbs, half of the onions, tomato ketchup,salt and pepper,bbq spice.
Make golf sized balls out the ground meat mixture and set in the refrigerator for at least 30minutes.
Heat a non stick pot, then add sunflower oil, gently place the meatballs and fry 2minutes each side of the meatball. Remove them from the pot and set aside.
To the same pot, add minced garlic, fry for 60seconds before adding onions and cook until softened, approximately 2minutes.
Add tomatoes and cook for another 2minutes, add salt and paprika at this stage.
Pour the red wine to the sauce.
Add the water to the sauce,and add the meatballs back.
Cover with a lid to cook for extra 30minutes.
Set aside and serve with a side dish of choice like rice, spaghetti.
