Crumble the sausage into a skillet; cook over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomatoes, kidney beans, water, tomato paste, chilies and seasonings; bring to a boil. A bowl of good ol' homemade chili is one of those delicious comfort foods that warms the soul and this Italian sausage chili will do just that.

Steps to make Sausage Chili:
  1. Soak beans in cold water for 24 hours.
  2. Place sausages (and bullion cube) in pot with 12 cups water. Bring to a boil, then a simmer. Meanwhile, add herbs of your choice, chopped onions, chili flake, garlic and jalapeños to olive oil. Cook slowly in the oil until some color is achieved. Careful not to burn anything. Remove herbs and allow to cool.
